Amethyst

We made this in the month of February as the Amethyst is the stone for the month.

The amethyst signifies peace, temperance, serenity and royalty.

When we picked these silk flowers from our garden, we immediately thought of the combination of the stability of blue and the fierce energy of red.  This colour hue can have a variety of effects on the mind and body, including uplifting spirits, calming the mind and nerves, enhancing the sacred, creating a feeling of spirituality, increasing nurturing tendencies and sensitivity, and encouraging imagination and creativity.

This piece is dark, juicy and seductive.  Simultaneously cold enough to suggest danger … but warm enough to draw you in.

It is regal and powerful, the colour of kings and mythical lands.  Suitably warm yet also cool.  Very balanced, beautiful and empowering.
